Photography is a fun and great way to make money on the road while enjoying Van life! I am a professional photographer and I use my cameras to create many different revenue streams with my photos.

If you want to pursue this line of work, I would suggest a high-quality camera with great glass (lens). I will link the cameras I use below. I choose these types of camera for the wide range they can cover. It gives me the flexibility to shoot people, sports and landscapes. Great job if you are living in your camper van full time.

One thing I always tell people getting into photography is by the best the first time. We all want to save money, but buying cheaper can be a waste of time and money. I know many people like myself who bought a great camera and wanted to save money on the lens. Then when you start getting good in photography you find out that the cheaper lens becomes your biggest issue.

You saved a few hundred in the beginning but know you learned your lesson, you have a $400 used lens you cant sell and need to buy the better one. You won’t regret buying the best the first time!
